To enable the camera on a Windows system, please follow these steps: 1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera. 2. Turn on the toggle for "Allow apps to access your camera". 3. Scroll down to select the specific apps from the list that you want to grant camera access to. 4. Open your chosen application, and ensure that you have selected NexiGo HelloCam Lite Camera as the active camera and microphone from the list of available options.
The status of the automatic privacy cover is synchronized with the activity of the webcam, which better protects your privacy and is more convenient for use.
To enable the camera on a Mac system, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy, and select the Privacy tab.
2. Select Camera from the list of options on the left side of the page.
3. Find the apps you want to enable camera access for from the list.
4. Click the checkbox next to the application's name to grant it permission to use the camera.
The privacy cover supports three control modes: Automatic, Manual, and Locked. You can manage it using the guidelines below:
Automatic Mode (Default): The cover synchronizes with your webcam's activity. It opens automatically when the camera is in use and closes automatically when it is not.
Manual Control (Tap Once): You can temporarily override the current status by tapping the privacy cover switch once to manually open or close the cover. Locking/Disabling the Cover (Press & Hold): To temporarily disable the automatic and manual tap functions completely, close the cover manually, then press and hold the privacy cover switch to lock it shut.
💡 Important Note: If the privacy cover does not respond to regular automatic or manual controls, it may be locked. Please ensure the privacy cover is unlocked (by pressing and holding the switch again) before daily use.
Unless you have issues with the camera, we don't recommend any firmware updates. If you are not sure about if updates are needed, please contact our customer support cs@nexigo.com.
