Firmware Upgrade Instructions:

IMPORTANT:

0: Please note all current shipments on the market come with the latest firmware. You don't have to update it.

1: Make sure to download the authorized latest firmware as shown below or NexiGo customer service, unauthorized firmware will cause damage to the operating system.

2: Make sure the firmware version to be upgraded is the latest one, downgrading will cause damage to the operating system.

Step 1

Download the MTKusbDriver as shown below, find DriverInstaller.exe in the MTK_Driver_ ext folder and double click to install the driver on your PC.

Step 2

Download the Upgrade Firmware as shown below. Save the firmware to your desktop or another convenient location. You will need this in Step 5.

Step 3

Turn on the camera and connect it to your PC.

Step 4

Press and hold the Mode button for five seconds. The indicator light on the camera will turn red and the camera will enter USB mode so the firmware upgrade can be started.

Step 5

Go to where you stored the upgrade firmware and copy that file. On a Windows Computer open File Explorer and navigate to "This PC". Select the "PF590" from the list of devices, and double click the icon to open it. Paste the firmware update into the "PF590 -> Internal shared storage" folder. The firmware will then be downloaded onto the webcam.
Note: The firmware must be named "update". Any suffix or modification, "update (1)" or "upgrade" for example, will cause the upgrade to fail.

Step 6

Restart the camera by pressing the camera lens housing downward to turn off the camera. Wait for 5 seconds to press the lens again to start the camera back up. The camera will be upgraded automatically and the indicator light will rapidly flash blue indicating the upgrade is in progress. When the process has been completed the blue indicator light will transition to a slower flashing indicating the upgrade was successful.
