Life's Conveniences

When you stop to take a look around the world today, you’ll notice just how fast-paced life really is. Everyone is hustling to that next meeting, to pick up their dry cleaning, to meet someone for lunch, the list goes on. On top of that, they’re looking down at their mobile devices to reply to an email, text, phone call, or post on social media (because if you didn’t post about it, it didn’t really happen). Most people look for convenience in between all of that. They’ll even fork out money-sometimes lots of it-to skip having an extra thing to do in their day to day routine. The top four I know of are:

1. Grocery shopping (or any type of shopping)
2. Food & Beverage
3. Cleaning
4. Smart Home Appliances

Since online grocery shopping and delivering became a thing, most people would rather spend more money on monthly services to have their groceries picked out and delivered by someone else (I mean who wouldn’t? Unless you like to do it, more power to you!). It’s one less thing you have to do, which means you can focus on other things, like your children, your work, your hobby, or just yourself.

Fast-food wouldn’t be what it is today if it weren’t for people looking for more convenience out of life. You order, grab your food, and you’re on your way. But you don’t even need to leave your home or office, they’ll come to you. Order from an app on your phone and *snap* (it’s a transition-if you know, you know) your Starbucks coffee and muffin is in your hand. And let’s all be honest here, not having to clean your house, do the dishes, or the laundry would make life ten times, wait no, a hundred times easier.

Sure, there’s always the conveniences that can eventually add up to break your budget like buying a seven dollar ice cream sandwich every weekend, when you can get six for the same price or less at the grocery store.

But we’re talking about life’s conveniences that can make your life easier and with new-age technology, safer. Smart cameras to track movement and record all activity to protect you and your home, lights that can be controlled from voice commands or a touch of a button, stoves that can shut off automatically when not in use, or refrigerator cameras that can track your quantity of food and let you know when you need to restock.

However, the real convenience is not fighting with your spouse about who’s turn it is to get out of bed and turn the lights off, am I right? We’re all on our phones anyway, so apps that help our well-being is a win to me. It’s as easy as either shouting to Alexa or simply clicking a button on your phone. Conveniences come in all forms, but if they make your life easier, safer, or maybe even bring you joy in some way, it really could be worth spending the extra moolah.

At NexiGo, we understand that convenience is important and with our growing line of Smart Home devices and App connection, we will continue innovating to provide the best for anyone and everyone.
