Q1: Why are my controller batteries not charging?
Please make sure the batteries are positioned correctly in the controllers. There are metal contacts on the battery (in gray) that have to face upwards for charging.
Q2: How many times can I charge the batteries?
The battery can be recharged 500 COMPLETE charge/discharge cycles ( 0% - 100%, 100% - 0% ).
Q3: Are there replacement batteries for purchase?
Yes, you can find the replacement controller batteries below.
Q5: Why are my controller batteries not charged up to 100%?
First, please ensure the battery contacts are properly connected (see Q1 above).
Second, this is an intentional design for the product. Since we use two NiMH batteries, the battery level is detected by the voltage. To prevent overcharge and increase both battery life and charging stability, the battery display may show that the batteries are not fully charged. Usually, the batteries will charge all the way to 100%, but the Quest may still display it at 90% or lower. Don’t worry, this is completely normal.
Third, the controller batteries last much longer than the headset. You won't have the controllers running out of battery during normal use.
LED status lights in the acrylic support column and on the left/right sides of the dock base clearly indicate the charging status of the VR headset and the left/right touch controllers respectively. (Note: When installing the provided controller batteries and covers, please ensure the metal sheets on the battery align with the metal contacts on the controller covers for proper charging.)
The VR Stand comes with two 1850mAh rechargeable batteries, each capable of over 500 recharging cycles. Replace standard batteries with these rechargeable batteries for easy and convenient charging. (Note: This dock does NOT support charging the Touch Controllers with grip covers on.)
Insert the included magnetic USB-C connector to your VR headset for easy repeated charging. The magnetic charging cable can automatically connect to charge the headset without constant and repeated plugging in and out of the USB-C cable.
